Transform your existing PDF forms into automated PDFs mapped to fields in triConvey.
Table of Contents
Getting Started
The PDFs you wish to make automated must be:
- Fillable – they have fields where you can type information in.
- Non-interactive – the format of the page does not change depending on the content entered.
Also, download the PDF to your desktop in preparation to import it into triConvey.
Create an automated PDF
1. Open a Matter from the triConvey Desktop App.
2. Select Precedent from the Matter Action Bar.
3. Navigate to the folder where you would like the precedent to be located.
4. Select Add a precedent.
5. Select Browse for an existing document.
6. Click the Browse button to locate the PDF in your desktop.
7. The Is Automated PDF document box will now be ticked. Rename your PDF (if necessary) and then select Create.
8. Your document will open in the triConvey PDF viewer and you will see existing PDF fields in the document (if any) located in the PDF Fields column. Learn more about using the triConvey PDF viewer.
9. Select any field in the document and check if you wish for it to be mapped to a triConvey field.
10. To map it, select the field from the triConvey column on the right-hand panel. Repeat for all other fields.
11. Select Save & Close from the top-left corner of the PDF viewer.
You can now open this PDF with any matter, with the fields you added automatically populating the document.
