Learn how to create a document container for sending out emails to contacts.
Getting Started
During account setup, the triConvey Team likely already set up an email container for you. Check your list of Document Containers in triConvey Settings for an "Email body text" Letter container or similar. If you already have an email container, modify it instead. This way, triConvey precedents using it by default will display it.
1. Select the gear icon from the top right corner of the triConvey Desktop App.
2. Select Document Containers and click Add.
3. Enter 'Email’ in the Name field.
4. Choose Letter from the Type drop-down menu and select Blank.
5. Select Create.
6. In the blank document, write the word ‘Dear’.
7. Navigate to the triConvey Toolbar on the right-hand side of Word.
8. Select the Field tab and expand the Addressee section.
9. Double-click on the Dear field to insert it.
10. Place your cursor below the newly inserted Addressee field.
11. Navigate to the triConvey Toolbar on the right-hand side of Word.
12. Select the Field tab and expand the Container section.
13. Double-click on the <<Body Content>> field to insert it.
Tip: This is where the body text for a blank letter or precedent will be displayed.
14. Place your cursor in front of the <<Body Content>> field and then select Save & Close.
Tip: This placement is important. Otherwise, you may run into formatting issues when generating a blank email or precedent.
You will now find the email container available when opening letters or precedents, and it can be sent as a Body Text.
