Learn how to delete a matter in triConvey that was created by accident. When a matter is marked as Deleted, it will not be permanently deleted in triConvey, for audit log purposes.

Delete a matter
1. Open the Matter you wish to delete and then click the File tab.
2. Select Delete and confirm you wish to delete this matter.
View deleted matters
1. Navigate to the Matters list from the triConvey Home Dashboard.
2. Click Show from the top-right corner.
3. Select the Status dropdown menu and tick Deleted.

Delete a Matter
1. Open the matter you wish to delete and click Edit Matter.
2. Select Delete Matter from the bottom-right corner.
Restore a deleted matter
1. Select Matters from the left menu.
2. Filter the list by the Deleted status.
3. Click on the matter from the Deleted list.
4. Select Edit Matter from the top-right corner.
5. Select Matter Details from the Quick Links menu.
6. From the Matter Status drop-down menu, select Open.
7. Click Save Matter.
Alternatives to deleting a matter
If you prefer not to have matters sitting in the Deleted matters view, consider reusing the matter by editing it or changing the matter type.
