Use the Billed Fees & Disbursements Report to gain valuable insights into amounts billed and staff / overall firm performance for a particular billing period. Based on your area of interest, the report allows for grouping of information by either the areas of law, matter types, clients, timekeepers, referrers, introducers or persons responsible. 


Please note that the report comes in both a Summary and a Detailed format.

Accessing Billed Fees & Disbursements Report

1.    Select Reports from the left panel of the triConvey Companion Site Web App.


2.    Click to select either the Summary or Details report type from the Choose a Report column.

 



Summary Report

This report provides a summary view of what has been billed during a selected time period. It allows you to assess billing performance by Area of Law, Matter Type, Client, Timekeeper, Referrer and Person Responsible.


The following filters are available for this report:


  • Invoice date range (required).

  • Run report by choice of Matter Type, Area of Law, Person Responsible, Timekeeper, Client or Referrer.
    • By default, this is set to Timekeeper.

    • The same options exist for the Subtotal filter, as well as <None>. When you choose a subtotal filter, the Run By filter will display additional information including the Subtotal By details.

  • Show Percentage - True or False.
    • If True is selected, the percent of the Run By selection will total 100%. If a Subtotal is also selected, then the Subtotals within the Run By selection will total 100%.


The following columns are displayed in the report:


  • Run By column - This is the first column in the report and will be populated as per the selection made using the Run By filter.

  • Subtotal By rows - This is based on what is selected in the Subtotal filter.
    • The report will not be split up into rows based on the selection made using the Subtotal By filter if <None> is selected.

  • Disbursements Billed.

  • Percentage of Expenses.
    • This column will only show if Show Percentage is set to True.

  • Hours Billed.

  • Percentage of Hours
    • This column will only show if Show Percentage is set to True.

  • Fees Billed.

  • Percentage of Fees.
    • This column will only show if Show Percentage is set to True.

  • Total Billed.

  • Percentage of Total Billed.
    • This column will only show if Show Percentage is set to True.



Important Notes

  • Discounts only apply to fees billed.

  • Write-offs and non-billable entries are not included in this report.

  • The Subtotal filter reflects the percentage of the option that is chosen in that filter (e.g. Timekeeper) and does not reflect the total for the whole report.


Details Report

This report provides a detailed view of what has been billed during a selected time period at the matter and invoice level. It can be used to verify that your invoices have been billed correctly.

  • Discounts are applied to fees billed only.
  • Write-offs are not included.
  • Non-billables are not included.
  • Interest Charges are not included.
